It is an old colonial sugar factory, with the slave master’s house, Chapel and the slaves house. Today our Modern Art Museum and a sculpture park are located in this complex.

Characterized by agile and acrobatic moves, capoeira is a Brazilian cultural expression that mixes fight, dance, sport, art, folklore, music and playing. It is distinguished from other fights because it is accompanied by music.
:: BAIANA DO ACARAJÉ
Or simply baianas are how these women that produce and sell acarajé and other foods of our culinary are called. Acarajé is a palm oil fried salt cake of the African culinary, made with a sort of bean and ground dry shrimp, accompanied with some optional toppings such as pepper, dry shrimp, vatapá and caruru.

Is an Afro-Brazilian religion that has as basis the Orixás (gods of Candomblé) ceremony. This religion is based on elements of nature. With the sound of the drums, the faithful people dance and sing, until the spirits come and possess the bodies of the initiated people

This place has the Church and the Monastery of Nossa Senhora de Monte Serrat, the Humaitá Lighthouse, o Bahian Nautical Club and the Monte Serrat Fortress, which has a Weapons Museum.
:: IGREJA DO BONFIM
This is the most famous church of Bahia. It has a votive offering room to Senhor do Bonfim. The washing of its steps is a traditional party of the Bahian year.
:: FAROL DA BARRA
This is a fortress and lighthouse complex. It is also the first lighthouse on the South American continent. It has a nautical museum and a restaurant.
:: LAGOA DO ABAETÉ
Dark water lagoon surrounded by white sand. Hidden between natural beauties, the Abaeté is enchanting and mysterious. It has the Casa da Música, the Casa das Lavadeiras, shops, bars and restaurants.

As one of the historical cities of the Bahian Reconcavous, this area is a rich heritage site of religious, military and civil architecture. Cachoeira is the base of the 1st sisterhood of black women descended from African slaves.

It is the biggest party in the world. The city stops for 07 days to celebrate it. People party in the street behind the trios elétricos (big trucks which play music) with lots of music, dance, food and drinks.
